Loose contact

A flicker, a shiver, a flash of the old spark:
That’s all the warning we get
Of a seemingly sudden
And actually quietly brewing death
That starts with simmer, ends with boil
Because of loose contact
Because we lose contact
With “reality”.

The last two lines took me away. So true in our world today. Aren't we all losing contact with reality?

Completely. I also often think of these lines I had read somewhere, who knows if our dreams are real, and what we call reality is actually a dream.
