Safekeeping beauty

Stories of little boys
pinching butterflies
and sticking them in a scrapbook
seemed revolting.

The idea of fix-depositing beauty,
However,
continues to entice.

Sunshine tendrils float in front
but stay with you only as long as the eyes can follow them
without blinking.

The option of putting them in a safe-box for leisurely perusal
would have been desirable
As much for soothing the self
as for sharing with anyone who
needed it.
