Timing is everything

She did not say “no” in the beginning.

How could she?
When he came seeking
So desperately
All the answers 
That seemed to lie
Only within her.

When she realised
It was not to seek
But to impose 
His own answers
That he had come

She did retract
While there was still time,
She thought.

But time is relative,
And usually not one of hers.

She did not say no in the “beginning”.
